Livingston-Hughes Surveyors

  Staff...

People make a business, and our people are not only the best. . . they are the nicest.
We love our jobs!

David Hughes, PLS/Owner:
Dave earned his undergraduate degree in Earth Science from Longwood College in Virginia.  He later taught high school science, published a small newspaper,
earned his real estate broker's license and served his country as an officer in the U. S. Coast Guard before becoming a land surveyor in 1987. In 1994, he opened
Livingston-Hughes Surveyors with an office in his daughter’s closet and his tools in an old truck.  Today he leads one of the state’s most effective survey firms.
He is an avid cyclist, mountain biker, adventure racer and triathlete.  He currently lives in Kennebunkport with his wife and daugher who, now, only keep
clothes in their closets.

Office Staff:

Tracy Hughes, General Manager:

Tracy earned her bachelors degree in Psychology & History from the University of Missouri-Rolla. She went on to receive her certification from the University of Southern Maine as an Elementary teacher and worked with 5th grade students in Sanford, Maine for many years. She then joined us in 1995.  She has a perfect resume for dealing with an office full of rowdy surveyors! She handles everything necessary to keep the company productive, financially viable and prepared for the future. While most of us grab jobs, field equipment and lunch, then head out in the field (yoo-hoo!), she remains in the office to guide the company forward. Tracy is the keystone of the company, making sure our bills are paid, our checks are ready and the company is healthy. She has two adult children and is an avid cyclist, mountain biker, adventure racer and triathlete.  She lives in Kennebunkport, Maine with her husband, dog Marley, and cat Ozzie.

 Michelle Kinerson, Operations Manager:
Michelle comes to us from the Lids Corporation where she worked first, as a store Manager and later as a Corporate Trainer, responsible for their New England region. Michelle has been be a great addition to our staff.  She is responsible for coordinating and planning the day to day operations of the field surveyors and the completion and distribution of all Mortgage Loan Inspections.  She is interested in art, gardening, paddle surfing, hiking, mountain biking and skateboarding and lives on the ocean in Cape Porpoise, Maine.

Field Staff:

Glenn Thornton, LSIT: Glenn joined us in 1995 following an engineering career at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Glenn performs surveys in all counties that we serve. His knowledge of surveying, together with his expertise in working with municipalities, makes him a great asset to our firm. Glenn is an expert skier, accomplished volleyball player, and a busy father. He lives with his wife and two children in Scarborough, Maine.

Louis Rocchio: Louis joined us in 1997 after a successful surveying career in Colorado. He has extensive experience in this industry and is a very knowledgeable surveyor. Louis will truly go the extra miles to make sure things are done right and on time. He lives with his wife and three children in Lyman, Maine.

Jacob Thompson:  Jacob is beginning his surveying career here at Livingston-Hughes.  While attending college, Jake works closely with surveyors in the field.  He promises to be the future of the company, bringing new ideas and technologies to us.  He is an outdoor enthusiest and lives with his family in Kennebunkport, Maine.
